Maisie Hayden

Maisie Hayden is a comedian, writer and actor based in London. She’s in the early stages of bringing her first one-woman stand-up theatre show – Problem Child – to life, which is set to debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025. With her laser-focus on health & wellness, you can join Maisie on her well-being journey.

A Problem Child

For as long as Maisie can remember, she’s been the problem, and, for the first thirty years of her life, she believed it. Maisie started her career as a writer and comedian in New York City before auditioning for drama school in London. Throughout the process, she realized she may not actually be the problem, and that she was just caught in a cycle of generational trauma that needed her to step in and break it for good.

In her first stand-up theatre show, Problem Child, Maisie explores the steps she took in her well-being journey with the hope of creating a community of like-minded people shifting their focus to their own health and wellness to create a happier lives for themselves too. Her show will be premiering at the Edinburg Festival Fringe in 2025, and you can catch her working on new material around Europe later this year.

Now that Maisie has broken her family patterns and changed the way she lives and loves with a lot of help from her therapist, she focuses on helping members of her community do the same thing. Maisie volunteers for Crisis Text Line – a company that provides free, confidential, 24/7 mental health support via text messaging by connecting individuals in crisis with trained volunteer counselors.

In her spare time, Maisie is a die-hard rock ‘n’ roll fan who travels relentlessly to see her favorite musicians around the world. You’ll often find her attending shows in the West End or on Broadway too. When she’s not out performing her own comedy, you’ll find her at Equinox honing her skills as a personal trainer and group fitness coach. Maisie lives in London with her home library and English Mastiff puppy Scarlet.
